listening to music  

I like all kids of music but I have to say country is my favorite... I know I know lol...

I also like that make me groove. But sometimes the lyrics and compositions are also important. I love heavy metal, thrash metal, death metal, progressive rock and so on. As a band I am a die hard fan of "As I Lay Dying".

I like love song music that makes me feel inlove with my husband hehehe.

I tend to listen to a tons of different types of music, but metal seems to dominate anything else I listen to...Being a guitar player I understand how hard it can be to write and play these songs, so I have nothing but appreciation for some of these bands...

Lately though, I've been listening to a lot of electronic stuff as well...Nine Inch Nails has always been a favorite of mine...I've been listening to them since I was 11 or 12, so it's just one of those bands (or one man band) that I can always listen to and really enjoy every second of it...

A couple weeks ago, I got into Squarepusher...This guy is crazy...It's all electronic, but he plays the all the bass tracks, and man he's awesome...Some songs are insane and super fast, others really slow and ambient and there's a lot of jazz influenced songs as well...He's got a ton of albums out, all of them excellent for there own reasons...

Finally, Travis Meeks would have to be my all time favorite song writer...His band is called Days of the New...It's a full band, its kind of rocky I guess...It's a bit older (late 90s) so I guess it could be classified as alternative rock to an extent...I find the song structures to be more than brilliant, and the lyrics extremely inspiring...

Well let's see jhellie, I like alot af different artists
and different kinds of music and I will surprise you with
some of my choices, especially for someone in my age
bracket. I like rap/r&b/soul as my favorite. Then I also
like old rock music from the 70-90's. I like Rhianna,
NeYo (am waiting for his new joint to come out!), Alicia Keyes,
Ashanti, Lil Wayne, 50cent, tlc, salt & peppa, destiny's child,
Stevie Wonder, Santana. I really could just keep going. As you
can see I have a very diversified collection of music and it
gets even stranger as I go on. My bf and I watch BET all the
time so I know all the newest joints as they come out and we
both love Lil Wayne!
