While some western countries forbid surrogate mothers to charge a childless couple, some asian countries do not have a legal system to prevent this.As recently reported ,surrogacy costs about $12000 in India as compared to $70000 in U.S.A because of low cost of treament and ready availability of women willing to rent their wombs to childless couples. Should surrogate mothers charge childless couples for renting their wombs? What are your view points?

this is auctually a hard one for me yes i dont see anything wrong with getting paid but here is the thing i auctually no someone who was doing this and she agreed for a sum to carry the baby and everthing elese plus asked for cash upfront for all medcail expenses and got that from the family but then turned around and got on state insurance so she got all her medcial bills paid plus the family belived the were paying for the medcial so she got the what they compensated ehr plus payment for medcial that she didnt even use for that and believe it or not there are so many people in it for the money and are really not caring about that family they just want there money so in someways i believe it should be illegal there are millions of babies that are waiting to be adopted

of coursethey should have compensation for carrying a child 9 months for someone else. it's not a fun time to be pregnant especially if you are sick like some people are. they have to go through labor & that certainly is no fun. i can't imagine anyone expecting someone to do this for them w/out compebsation. i couldn't do it because i could never let my baby go no matter what the circumstances were. that would haunt me for life to give a baby up, never see it again & know nothing about it's welfare.

I really don't see why not. It's work they have to do for them. It's a service, and there's serious physical labour involved. They deserve compensation.

well it depends that if the surrogate mother is going through this treatment just to earn money then there is no harm paying her. as she will be earning legally for this work for the sake of childless couple. Its not possible for every woman to sacrifice her life for 9 months for a child that doesn't belong to her. she has the full right to get money.
