Alright, I may not be a "Couch Potato," but I may be a Computer Potato. I am sure that I spend more time on the internet than I should in any given day. I am usually on Mylot, Ancestry.com, or researching something online, yet I digress. I am not much of a television watcher, but when I am visiting others, I will watch for an hour or two. Although, it is difficult for me to remain still at those times. I need to exercise more, so I can be able to work more. My Asthma slows me down pretty bad. I will do a little and then need to sit down for a little bit and catch my breath. The problem with that is I will usually sit down at my desk and get online and temporarily put off or forget what I was doing before. So do you consider yourself to be a "Couch Potato?" Be honest. http://www.qualityhealth.com/psp/6-surefire-signs-youre-a-couch-potato/featuredArticle.jspa?rf=29933&mc=MTQ0MjA4NzA.

On and off lol I have been quite active this summer with my son, taking him here and there for his activities and other things. I am actually looking forward to him going back to school next tuesday so I can have a bit of a rest. Some days we do stay home and do absolutely nothing. He watches tv or plays his games while I'm on the laptop talking with my hubby who's currently overseas. I'm hoping to start up my walking again and get my husband involved. He isn't feeling too good on this last trip and feels like his body is shutting down (if that's the word). He's been off his diet for two months and hasn't been taking care of himself and not following his diet plan and what the doctor has instructed him to do. This last trip has been horrible for him as he hasn't been well throughout it either so when he comes back, he has another doctors appointment the week after and I'm going to encourage him to get a full physical. I think there is more going on with his body than he realises and it's starting to scare me. He still hasn't stopped smoking either and needs help with that.

It's even more harder when he is travelling. I'm hoping that he might think about not going on the next trip and concentrate on getting himself well again.

I know that men can be pretty vague sometimes about what is really going on with them, because being sick is not macho. That is why the fact that he is saying things like is body is shutting down, concerns me. He will have to really buckle down and stick to a strict regimen. But I know it can be difficult when you are on the road a lot.

Hopefully he will be able to find a way where he does not have to do so much travelling. It can take the burden off of so many different issues. I was reading in the Ebony magazine about how Michelle Obama belongs to a group where the members spouse's travel and are away from home a lot. She plans to address this issue, should her husband become president.

I admit it but I am not a couch potato either. I am like you I get on my computer and I am usally on it untill I go to bed a lot of times. I do get off or walk away from it to do things that I need to do like wash my clothes or wash my dishes after I have ate dinner. I watch tv some . I enjoy watching movies that I rent and also there are a few tv shows that I enjoy watching. Most of the time I am right here in my chair by my computer. I do make myself do the exersises that I was taught to do when I went to physical therapy as well as walking. I do that in my house though sense my yard has to many hills and I am afarid of falling down. I am scared of falling down because I have to have help to get off of the floor. I have figured out how to help myself up with a chair. I had to learn to do that after the few times that I have feel down and no one was at home to help me get back up.

One of the things that I need to work on is exercising just for the sake of my health. Although, I am one to move around a lot, it is rarely enough to make any real difference. I also need to work more on getting out to socialize with others. A lot of the things that I enjoy doing are solo activities, like reading and things like that. Sometimes, I will stop right in the middle of doing something by myself and go find a friend to hang out with.

I am not a couch potato, I am a computer/internet potato. I have the classic symptoms. Since I have had my computer, I don't watch much tv neither. I used to read books all the time, I don't do much of that anymore either. I am still using my brain just on the internet. I am always learning, even when I play pogo games on the compute. Scrable is my favorite game, that excercises my brain.

You are exactly like me. I love to learn for entertainment. I can easily kill 2-4 hours while reading a book. I also love to play learning games and scabble is my favorite, as long as I am not playing with someone who is better at it than me. Then they just get on my nerves big time, hehe.

I know I'm a PC Potato. I spend way too much time on here. I am terribly out of shape and need to start working on it. I've taken a few steps...I've started working 3 days a week and I bought me a workout machine. Now I have no excuses. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~
