So. Anyone planning on going? Bought the tickets (that I had no way of buying)? It's today at, uh, Fort, right? Yeah, I think that's where it'll be held. I'm sorry if it's obvious I didn't bother to check if my facts are right or not. :P
There's been so much drama in this band, but I can't deny I grew up being in awe of their songs. When Eraserheads released their first album, they blew the underground music scene into the daylight, and, okay, actually, I wasn't a music fan and din't really care about their style of music then. But with my brother around and listening to them all the time, it's not far-fetched to say my favored style in music now had been greatly influenced by how they played (and developed).
And, huh, apparently there were text messages circulating about Ely dying? Did anybody get a message like that? (also: didn't that happen before?) His mom, apparently, died this Thursday and maybe something was lost on the airwaves (I doubt anyone connected to them will see this but condolences to the buendia family).

I was not able receive the text about ely dying last week... but I was able to watch the concert, ahmmm, my friend bough the ticket on the day itself. It's just so nice to see them play again... but the music is more technical and ely sung pretty better now. :)

Hey hey! Apparently there's gonna be a part two or something? They were overwhelmed with the reaction and were really happy about the support so they said a second one might not be as impossible as was originally thought of.
Also, my friend said they're gonna release a DVD copy of it! Not as good as being there in person, but I am excited I can get to see it on the TV at least. Unlike you, I wasn't lucky enough to watch it live. .

Yeah, I heard that too. But they managed to play 15 songs (straight, no intermission or anything) before the concert finished, my brother said, and in his opinion, the money he paid for the concert was totally worth what he got out of it.
I would like to have them get together for a part two, too. I've been told Ely and Raymond finally managed to fix whatever was between them that ripped the band apart, but I don't even know the whole story why the band broke up in the first place, so *shrug* My brother did manage to take video footage of some of the songs. It was so nostalgic. T_T

All i can say is , I'm a fan. Eraserhead Era was Philippines Music Industry's Era. Period. When i was kid, all i ever thought was that their music was like for those rebel teenagers who do nothing in the society. But now, i come to realize that these people were ambassadors of the youth whom showed the world who they really are.

LOL! Well, I don't know about Philippines Music Industry Era, but they really did pave the way for the underground music scene to be bigger than it could have ever been without them around. They were so good, a lot of other bands copied their style. They were definitely the biggest thing in the music business during the 1990's for me.
