Decent TV coverage of skating lacking the last few years?

After the famous knee whacking incident in 1994, skating coverage exploded. At one time, the joke was that CBS = "currently broadcasting skating". But lately the trend in the US has been in the other direction. Major events are often televised on cable channels and after the event has occurred. No wonder skating doesn't get any respect as a sport in this country! Anybody care to comment?

Right now there are not really outstanding skaters in the US. You know, that type that's number one in the world consistently;) Lol. I think people just kind of grew tired of watching that, and baseball is favorited again... There are just too many other sports that are less girly and will draw a bigger crowd in front of the TV.

There aren't too many skaters consistently number one in any country. Every since they got rid of the school figures, too many things can happen with the jumps to change the rankings. Lot of sports that are less girly, true, but hey, us girls need sports to watch too! :-)
