I start planning my hubby's birthday party the month before. The reason is because it is on Halloween and I have to plan for two occassions. We have a Halloween party as well as a birthday party. However, I am drawing a blank. I need ideas my friends whether it be recipes, games, or decor. So give me your best ideas please.

oh great! me and your husband have the same birthday. maybe you can do a costume party. Combine halloween concepts with personal ideas u have that will surely make your husband happy on his birthday.

Well, he doesn't know it yet but I am having a special costume made for him. He loves Captain Malcolm Reynolds from Serenity/Firefly. So I have a tailor working on it now. So, I may dress as Inara. Tee hee. With the party, I may just do what I did about three years ago and that is have a Halloween Carnival theme. He loved it. we had stuff like chocolate mousse filled witches hats and haunted owl popcorn balls. What do you think?

that's great. now you're on to something really good on your planning. oh! may i suggest, instead of that vampire thing you said you're gonna wear, why not do something like a She-Devil tease act ala Elizabeth Hurley in the movie "Bedazzled."

I wish I had the body to do that. No, I think I am going to go with Inara because Captain Reynolds secretly loves her so it kinda goes with his costume. It makes it stand out even more. Plus, that chick was hot!!!
