What is your criteria for identifying an idiot???

What according to you is an idiot. There are so many opinions on this, that it is actually hard to pin point how to term someone as an idiot. Do give me your ideas for Id love to know.

I might be wrong, but I think the original definition of the word 'idiot' was someone uninterested in politics. To me, it means someone uninterested in bettering themselves and learning about other people, but the word is massively overused. Did you start this discussion to prove to someone that they are an idiot?
