My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. I love to sit around the table with my family.. Eating turkey, mash potatoes, corn, cheese cake ,brownies....etc. We all sit around and share with one another what were thankful for in this year. Every year thanksgiving we go to somebodys else home and each bring something...to share with the family. Whats your favorite holiday? Share with me the fooods you eat on this holiday?

Christmas and New Year are my favorite holidays. we make it a point that all of the family members are present during this holidays. We eat together during christmas eve or as we call it here "noche buena", lots of food on the table. We have at least 3 dishes, like "chicken or pork asado" which is a family favorite. Then maybe "lechon kawali" and some seafoods, like shrimps and crabs. Then we will be having a veggie salad and some fruit salad for dessert or "haleyang ube" .No christmas is complete without our favorite "suman bulagta" for breakfast with ham, and "keso de bola" and "rice cakes". My family loves to eat, so we enjoy making the suman and haleyang ube, this is one of our family traditions. Then we have lots of fruits and we stay together until the evening of christmas day.

Hi Fairygrl. For me is New Year because it is a mark of new things and new starts. We have a supper after midnight with many yumie foods and desserts LOL. But what is important to me is the feeling of renovation that comes with this holiday. Cheers and good night.

I just want to share that I am from the Philippines but my husband's family has been celebrating Thanksgiving ever since. Maybe it's because they have a lot of family members in the US. We also have turkey with the gravy or the other sauce, corn and a whole lot more with a bit of Pinoy food. At first I found it really weird celebrating it but of course, with free, good food, who could resist huh?

I love Thanksgiving and Christmas b/c I like being around family and all the sharing and such that goes on. Halloween is my alltime favorite just b/c of the decorations and the mystery that surrounds it but it doesn't last long and there isn't much family involvement with it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~
