As Roald Dahl himself had said, the best ghost stories don't have ghosts in them. At least you don't see the ghost. Instead you see only the results of his actions.
(extracted from Roald Dahl's book of ghost stories.)
i am sure all of you had read a ghost story at some point of your life. so what is it that make us frightened? come and share.

Ghost is the ' thing' what we cannot see. in my country, story about ghost or some one who see ghost in the night is the happen every day. In my country, that's familiar thing for every one. And.. in one of televition station in my country, they have a program about it. No fake program. But real program. They can catch the gost picture in moving picture with high resolution camera. Not once, but many times. The'ghost' is interest topic to talk and sharing....Are we scare if we met the ghost directly?..rrggghhh..

true, many people are trying to communicate with the ghosts. in my country, there is even a organization that was set up to track down and understand all these otherworldly situation. they named themselves the Singapore Paranormal Investigators.

I believe it is the aspect of the unknown. If you see a ghost you know what you are dealing with. But seeing only the results of a ghost and not the ghost to me would be scary. You are not exactly sure what you are dealing with. And as I said the unknown is what is scary.
