a baby elephant rejected by mother

a baby elephant was rejected by its mother soon after birth, this happened in oregaon zoo where a 13 year old elephant rosetu gave birth on aug 23, she began to kick the new born, is it possible that the mother was behaving thus as she had never given birth before and became confused and therefore aggressive

off late what i heard is the zoo keepers have been successsful in sending the baby back after a week of persuaassion and the babay nursed succesfully

its good news with the baby elephant as it has been able to succesfully nurse with the help of zookeepers
