I could listen and enjoyed my Grandfather's story

Have you got a chance to listen stories from your grandfather. If yes, then what kind of stories he used to tell. Did you enjoyed his stories? Could you learned many things from him? In my case the answer is yes. My grandfather told many stories to us. In my childhood our family was a joint family. My grandfather called all of us and telling stories from ancient literature like 'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharath'. Yes it was a wonderful experience. What about you? Please share your memories. Thanks

well, SREE .. I had been searching through all your responses, to get a feel, and found this one, with just 3 response. Either it is because you have been very INDIAN in the topic.. or, your friends just did not find this amusing.
however, I would try to revive this very nice MEMORY-TRIGGER ..
though I have no direct grand-parents, I had the chance of listening to wonderful bed-time stories, every summer, during my childhood days. It was all including VIKRAM and his DEMON.. etc, etc.

About the topic, it was an old one and that time I was a beginner, hadn’t enough friends, not at all familiar among friends. Now the situation changed much and I am blessed with lots of good friends.

the moment I became active again, after a gap of over two years... I HAVE deleted all the friends list, to start afresh. That might be the reason.
and I am glad to have rejoined your list of good friends.

My grand father did used to told me stories..god i miss those days ..he always used to tell me Ramyan stories and also other holly ones besides he also used to sing bhajans to help me sleep...even though i dint learned any thing..haha but i do miss those days

I myself was also mesmerized by the stories of my grandparents before. They would tell me things about the war, their childhood, their family, their beliefs, among others. It's always interesting to hear their stories. I learned a lot actually. I learned to be very diligent and be humble in many ways.
