which is the race of Yoda?

Personally I am not sure about the race of Yoda and I think the only person who knows exactly is George Lucas because he was the one who produced the movies,but if I had to guess at what he is I would say he is some sort of green troll even though he is awesome and he can kick butt with the best of them,and he is by far one of my favoritist characters in the Star Wars movies.

Yoda's race has never been specified in any part of the movies and even in the cartoons and most of the books I don't there is a total blank, I just went to wikipedia to see if it was just me, that I had missed it and found that is probably done on purpose to maintain him a mysterious character they say that his is sometimes referred to as «tridactyl» species but this means they have 3 fingers. It is one of the many mysteries of the Star Wars universe.

Nobody knows his race. Except George Lucas, that man knows everything about all of his characters.
