why i feel sleepy right after strong coffee?

Are you ADHD by any chance? Stimulants such as caffeine have the opposite effect on people with ADHD than with others, so they may calm you instead of giving you energy and keeping you awake.

The answer is very simple. You are adicted to caffene and any time you feed an addiction along this line it tends to calm you down. I was this way for years and I drank a lot of coffee. The stronger the better. However at a poing in the past few years it has reversed on me and it now keeps me from going to sleep. My nerves changed as I got older and the coffee now peps me up to a point where I can't get to sleep. I would advise you to start easing off coffee where you are only drinking a couple of cups a day. I love the stuff but I had no choice but cut back on it.

There is a lot of things coffee can work on. If you are stressed out it can calm you down or even sooth a light pain. Mostly it can relieve muscle tension and relax you especially late in the day when you are tired. For years I had coffee before bedtime to unwind from a hard days work. Now if I have a single cup after lunch I have a hard time getting to sleep when I go to bed about 10 PM.
