Every Olympic games leads to the invention of new technologies.....
Let us discuss about some of the technologies that were first used in Olympic games....... Some of them are given below:1) 1912 Stockholm Summer Olympics: Electric stop-watches were first used..... Before the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, basic hand held devices were used...... This Olympics saw the replacements of hand held devices by electric stop-watches...... A camera was also introduced to capture early photo finishes.....

3) 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics: Global Positioninh Technology was used for the first time...... This was used to plot the position of the boats in sailing events.......
4) 2004 Athens Summer Olympics: Cameras that can take two thousand images of the finish line per second were introduced...... Ultra sensitive touch pads too made a mark in the swimming events......
5) 2006 Turin Winter Olympics: For the first time at a winter olympic games, speed skaters wore special transponders on their ankles...... This was used to keep track of their time and position.
