do you think doctors prescrbe pain pills too easy?

the reason i ask is it seems like they will just give you pain meds for anything for instance my husband went in and his back was hurting so bad where he couldn't even touch it and all they did was tell him he needed to strtch it or hang up side down and that man is always active but then i go in pregnant thinking i had strep throat and didn't they still gave me lortabs for a sore throat.now theres something wrong there, some docs will just give you pain medicine for no reason when you really don't need it and i think thats how some people get addicted to them.

i think it's a whole money story, doctors do not work to make their patients, but to trick them into paying the services they give so they over exploit the paitients... theyabuse their knowledge, so most doctors according to my judgement know little.

I think Docotrs do give them out way to easy.Knowing that some people are addicted to them and some misuse them.

I ask my doctor for tylenol 3's for pain and she does not like giving out pain meds at all. She goes in to check my file to see when the last time it was that she gave me a prescription for them. She does not like to hand out prescriptions for anything. If I bring the kids in for a chest infection or earache she always sends me home saying if they not better in a week bring them back. Than we always end up waiting in the emergency room at the hospital for hours to have another doctor say they have infection and need medication. In away it's good but sometimes it's not so good when it comes to medicine for infections. And when she gives me tylenol I get 30 at a time. My father in law on the other hand his doctor loves to hand out pain medication he get them by the hundreds. lol

well she shouldn't hesitate to treat your kids infection i think i would be switching docs and sometimes you may need pain meds...thanks for the response
