Can you really get sick if you swallow your gum?

I know you've all heard that swallowing your chewing gum is bad for you i wonder if thats true i love sugar free gum in fact im a gum fanatic and i buy gum a lot hehe theres been a few times were i accidentally swallowed my gum and i always wondered if i can get sick by swallowing gum i usually throw out my gum out after im done what do you all think?

Singapore bans chewing gums so I don't get to chew it as much as I like to. I only chew it when I'm overseas. The only type of chewing gums that are available here are those with nicotine to help smokers quit smoking. I am not a smoker so I don't need that.
I think if swallowing happens once in a while, it's fine. Just make sure it doesn't happen all the time.

I don't think it would be good for you if you did it too often!! I don't chew gum myself as it makes me feel really hungry and even makes my stomach gurggle and everything!!

i had swallowed some gums when im still young and felt scared about it..but nothing happens after i had done it..maybe theres nothing wrong in swallowing gums unless its in large quantity..kidding ok...generally i guess its not harmful

It is hard to digest! If the gum can go away from along rectum and after all trun into ***, there will be nothing wrong! hehe
