Can you really get sick if you swallow your gum?  

i had swallowed some gums when im still young and felt scared about it..but nothing happens after i had done it..maybe theres nothing wrong in swallowing gums unless its in large quantity..kidding ok...generally i guess its not harmful

I don't think it would be good for you if you did it too often!! I don't chew gum myself as it makes me feel really hungry and even makes my stomach gurggle and everything!!

It is hard to digest! If the gum can go away from along rectum and after all trun into ***, there will be nothing wrong! hehe

Singapore bans chewing gums so I don't get to chew it as much as I like to. I only chew it when I'm overseas. The only type of chewing gums that are available here are those with nicotine to help smokers quit smoking. I am not a smoker so I don't need that.
I think if swallowing happens once in a while, it's fine. Just make sure it doesn't happen all the time.

Hi apples, I couldn’t imagine what would happen if I were to swallow the chewing gum while chewing it. Surely I would worry and afraid that the indigested gum in my stomach would cause great harm to my body. I was told that taking a bowl of olive oil could help to get rid of any indigested thing out of our body.

During my childhood it happened that one day my elder brother had swallowed a 10 cent coin into his stomach accidentally when he put it into his mouth while we were having fun in the courtyard. He was scared to death and told my parents immediately. My dad consoled him and told him that the coin would come up a day or two and asked him to check his excrement carefully to see whether the coin was in it. The third day my brother was so happy that he had finally found a coin in his night soil. I believe our bowel system would remove any indigested stuff that we have swallowed out of our body.

hahah well usually I choked if I swallowed it
so not sick, in fact almost died
but I was young then and I rarely chew gums unless there is no other candy around
and I only get candies when there is no chips around :)
