Anybody else working as a home based agent in a call center?

I work from home part time in a call center. I am disabled and it is a job that is basically easy because I don't have to worry about getting out and driving to and from work, etc. I don't have all those hassles and worries. I only work part time because I also get social security. I don't always feel up to working because of my disabilities and health issues, but I have to to keep the job. I don't make enough on the social security to pay my most pressing expenses. However, because of the job I make too much to receive the medicaid assistance I need without paying a huge spenddown each month. So basically I am disabled, with medical and health issues and cannot get medical care because I cannot afford it. I do get care for the most critical condition, but the others slide. I am required to be available to work a minimum of 24 hours a week. It is almost too much for me stress-wise and makes me mentally and physically exhausted. I have problems dealing with having the headset on all the time (I never have liked having things on my head). I don't like the constant noise. But I have been trained to handle too many things so they have to keep me on schedule even when it is slow because not everyone on the job is trained in the things I am. I would like to find a work at home job where I would work less hours and know I am going to make a certain amount of money each month so I can survive financially, but not have to worry about my health issues on the job. Anyone else disabled and working as a home based call center agent?

Hi!I am sorry to hear about your problems. I hope you find more of what you are looking for. I have been wanting to find as a home based call agent myself. Could you tell me what company you work for? Any advice would be appreciated.

The company I work for only hires disabled people who are confirmed disabled by their local vocational rehabilitation agencies. If that applies to you, send me a pm and I will tell you what the company is.
