I've never understood why people spend so much with credit cards if they know they dont have the means to cover the cost when the bills come in, it makes no sense at all. What happened to old fashioned saving for the things they want to buy? Why get yourself in trouble with debt? Its completely mad!

yes, like you know, you get the credit with hope that you will make the money to offset the debt but because of one circumstance or the other you become even more indebted.

I think first of all, stop spending money using your credit cards anymore, not even one of them, not even a few dollars from there. Then slowly allocate some money from your salary and pay off the debts. You really gotta clear off the debts, as the interest is really high, and you'll need to pay more and more money to the bank.

Yes, but the problem is paying back the debts and making more money to save and invest. thanks for the advice.

What you have to do is to pay off the balances on your credit cards. Start with the one with the highest interest first and pay that one off, and pay more then the minimum on the others. Then go down the line, paying the highest interest one off first, Then examine your credit cards. Any that does not give you cash back, dividends, or points, cut up. You do not need to cancel them, just destroy them. That will leave you with two or three at the most. Then do not charge anything unless you have the money in the bank to pay it off at the end of the month or when you receive your statement. Pay off the statement in full. Then check to see what you buy, anything that is silly or junk stop. If you cannot use credit cards at all, cut them all off and just rely on cash, debit card, or check.
