I have been a member for a short time, and I enjoy writing on my lot and reading people's comments. Here and there some names show very frequently and of course their points of view gives an image of whom they are. Since this is a forum where people makes money for their comments, How do you know their for real, enough for you to like them?

Oh my, dpjddh I don't know what happened, I responded you as soon as I received your post. Today I have been rechecking my discussions and I noticed there was none to you. So here goes again! WELCOME to mylot. Iam also new, and Iam not a USA resident I live in Dominican Rep. My own language is Spanish so don't worry about your English. Most people in mylot are very nice and don't mind our mistakes.
Iam very acquainted with the proverb you mentioned as a matter of fact I live my life as of it. As you implied many people they only want to share their ideas and are honest in their thoughts.
Once again Welcome and enjoy your time in mylot.
Have a nice weekend!

I don't know that it is easy to tell if they are serious sometimes, but I do know for a fact that most people on here are not as they seem. I think a lot of "opinions" on Mylot are formed by the poster in order to get more responses.

Sometimes could be that the poster's Question reflects what people wants to be ask? Therefore they catch people's attention.
There are certain questions people respond liberally, and in big numbers. So must be real interest, or just more knowledge on the subject.
I think there is no real harm done in how you show yourself in here since you will not get in physical contact with each other.
But feels good when you think you are dealing with a truthful someone.
Have a good weekend!

I have many people on my friends list, but I don't really talk to them much. I generally like everyone though. I would consider a friend on here, someone that has the same interest as me.
