ordering things off of tv...they dont always work  

Nope. I don't buy off the TV anyway. It's all so exaggerated and pricey. You pay an arm and a leg for shipping&handling. If I'm interested in a product I have seen on TV, I wait until I see it on the 'as seen on TV' shelf at Walmart or Walgreens. There I can have a look at it, read the instructions, etc. It's cheaper than on TV (especially since you don't pay for shipping etc), and if it doesn't do what it is supposed to do I can bring it back to the store. Thus far, I have only bought one or two products after checking them out in the store, and they do what they are supposed to do.
