Pharma companies do not tell the truth

In the last 40 years, I have seen pharma companies changing their views on certain medicines. Aspirin is one. At one time it is recommended for mild aches, then as painkiller or as something good for cardiac diseases. Most of the medicines do have more than a couple of negative impact on the patient, none of these are printed either on the carton as it is done in the case of cigerattes. Take for instance of Statin. it is prescribed for fighting cholestrol. But it has negative effect on ones liver. many of these medicines once taken, cannot be stopped. Also if a medicine was found to have some negative side effects, then a new use for the same is invented. isn't this a great game being played out by the medical community and the pharma companies for profits at the cost of precious human lives?
