What words do you use for cats? Cat, Kitty, Kitty cat, Pu$$y cat or...?

I have a web site of cat information and cat products. www.boomspress.com/KittyLovers.html Having a web site means picking the right key words, just like we do here on myLot. Because it's at related, I put in every possible way of referring to cats including "pu$$y cat". Old ladies frequently use that term. One of the search engines rejected the site due to "language that may be inappropriate". I'm sure that one word put it in the naughty category. Even here, I'm afraid of censorship or being put in the adult category when there is nothing adult about pets. Well the adult in the household is ultimately the one responsible to make sure the animals needs are taken care of, but you folks know what I mean. What's with this world? I can't use a valid term from the dictionary for cat?I've also been censored on Yahoo dog discussions from referring to an intact female dog as a bltch. It is the proper term, but the censors think it's inappropriate. Another bad word. On a dog site. The computer generated sensors really need to be reconfigured to censer words on a site specific basis. What will be next? We can't use the word stud anymore on jewelry, horse breeding or building sites just because the word could mean something else to dirty minds. The Cat Lady

I remember that from when I was young, back when dinosaurs walked on earth. I also use my cat's names. But for a website I needed to think of every word someone might goggle.

Don't know how I missed this discussion...LOL--oh wow I went to that website of yours and love it....I now have that black kitty widget on my profile...that is so adorable! Had to get it myself. Well as far as the words go--it's unfortunate that common legit terms used for cats, female dogs, etc, now have other meanings to them. For the word cat(s) I usually now just use cat, kitty or furbaby..LOL

A friend made me that website. It's kinda cool. She maintains it for the real estate on top. Her links. I found that widget and had her add it. If I like it other kitty people such as yourself will too. I know you like black cats. Yours is a looker. I want a black cat so bad. Somehow every black kitten I get dumped on me ends up getting adopted. I can't pass up a really good adoption just because I want the cat for myself. I'm not a hoarder. One black kitten was adopted to a pet sitting client of mine, so I still get to see her. She is exactly the cat I want, but she has a better quality of life living with only one other cat and 3 dogs. Not a dozen or so cats that I have. You might like this site http://www.theurbancatproject.org/. It's a friends cat adoption sight. She's also a die hard cat person. The Urban Cat Project's site doesn't have the cute widget, but it has great furbabys, plus some good links on cat information. Three of the fur babies in the adopted section were once mine. It cost a small fortune to fly the to the United States for adoption. They got wonderful new homes.
