I have been on this quest lately.....to loose a few pounds. I am not that overweight but I admit, I am overweight. My weight is not proportionate with my height. That is according to the weight watchers' calculation. So my goal now is to loose those extra pounds. I did not go to any professional weight loosing agency or something like that. I just did my own research on how to loose those extra pounds. Most of my research showed that the best way to loose those pounds is FRUITS AND EXERCISE. I know that exercise helps you loose those extra pounds. But I did not realize that fruits have that big effect on loosing weight too. There are certain fruits that you could substitute as a meal and it would help you loose weight. What about you? What are the ways that you used to loose those extra pounds?

Well, I hope you are at least eating the last name of your screen name. Yes fruit will help with your digestive track so you don't store the fat that is in the food you eat. Fruit helps to break down the sugars with the fibers that are in fruit. I like you want to loose a few pounds, I'm not fat and I don't have a spare tire around my waist, more like a 10 speed tire. I do exercise and drink plenty of water to keep my system flushed out. Good luck.

I would like to lose about 15 pounds. I have tried slightly cutting back my portions at each meal, which doesn't amount to much individually, but as a whole throughout the day it cuts a fair amount of calories. Also, in addition to working out two to three times a week doing aerobics inside my home, my boyfriend and I have been walking about 5 miles a few times a week, usually between 2-4 times weekly, so walking that extra 10-20 miles each week also adds up and helps burn more calories. It's a bit surprising to learn fruit would help one lose weight. I suppose the natural sugars are much better than something processed or fattening we might be eating instead. Also, fruits have lots of fiber and vitamins, so they really are great! Best wishes on your weight loss endeavor!

Actually the main concept in saying fruits helps to reduce weight is because they are rich in fibre and water. These two make yor tummy feel full. So you will not have any urge to eat junk food or even your extra meals. Your food intake will reduce. Other than that I strongly believe that a good diet combined with few exercise will help you to loose some of your pounds.

Whenever I want to drop a few pounds I make sure I'm getting plenty of exercise, increase my water intake, cut out all process foods and eat mostly fruits and veggies and organic proteins. I'm curious what fruits can substitute as a meal?
