Black hole in Europe, End of the world

17 mile tunnel is built 300feets under Switzerland, the experiment is in its final phase (at this moment), and it is very true!.
They are accelerating protons in two separate beams, once they reach "high" speed, they will collide the beams, and as Professor Hawking said, there is 1% chance to create Black Hole.
So this is very, very true!

dont they know the consequences?????

I watch National Geographic, Discovery (History/Science/World), Explorer, I don't watch CNN at all. I have seen may lays on CNN, and since than I never watch CNN.
However, about this experiment, I heard from my colleagues.

hmm, base of black hole is increasing gravity when "eating" mater. In those tubes, there are two beams of protons, so there is mater, and I think that there is possibility, in those small time fragments, black hole to start eating surrounding protons from the (nearest one) beam, and since this experiment will be continuous for a couple of months, I think there is chance for this black hole to get stable and start grooving. Still, chances for this are 1% (By Hawking) and that is very big chance I think.

Hawking thinks theres a 1% chance of black holes yes. Not a 1% of a stable black hole. No physicist thinks that there's any sizable chance of that
