Making Homemade Bird Feeders  

Villa what do you feed your birds with, I used to feed the birds in the park my left over bread but I have been told this is not good for the birds...I would hate to do damage to the birds...

I like the ones kids make in the winter. Where you tie a pipe cleaner to a pine cone,coat it in peanut butter and then roll in birdseed.

I have seen bird feeders made from liquid soap jugs, large milk jugs, coffee cans and of course wooden ones. I bought two bird feeders this year because I'm not at all talented and I wouldn't know what to do. I'd love to have some home made ones I think they are very unique. The ones I bought are just cheap plastic ones.

I purchase them. My husband is a very handy man and I have no doubt he could make a bird feeder very easily. But as he builds for a living, I wouldn't want to put him out and make him build a feeder, so I just purchase them instead.

Hello, How are you. Its nice seeing you. I imagine you have been busy, I have too. I am glad that you stop in every now and then and check in. As for your question, I just throw bread and crackers stuff like that out. I have too many cats and also there are lots of stray cats in the neighborhood. I would feel terrible if my kitties got the birds. plus with feeding so many cats, they keep me broke. They sort of adopted me, hehe.
