Giving Blood - just a pint, please...

Every year thousands of people take the time to give blood.
But how easy is it to get involved, and does it hurt?
So what excuse do we have not to? It takes half an hour, is relatively pain free and in the end could be vital in saving a life. You can't say fairer than that.

I would love to give blood but I eith faint or throw up at the sight of needles, a friend of mine is the same and she went along to donate blood and because was sick they thanked her and told her she was too much trouble...so I never bothered...
