What's the worst year you ever had? The best?  |

 My worst year was 2004. My mom and father-in-law died and my son was diagnosed with autism. My best year was probably 1978 - 1979 (July 78 - June 79). That was the year in college when I got to study overseas in Heidelberg, Germany.
The reason I thought of this is that my cousin is having a really terrible year. Her father passed away recently, her marriage is ending and now her son has been in a horrible accident (spinal injury).
But I threw in the best year thing so as not to be too negative. lol

1.  sidyboy (251) | 1 year ago |  The worst year... actually it was over an 18 month period, but I lost 3 dogs and 2 cats. My animals are my kids, and having them die is absolutly devastating.
The best year- when my mother retired. I'd been begging her to retire for quite some time and she refused to do it since she wasn't sure if I could handle all the financial needs we have. She took time off for her vacation and stayed home (which is how we always spend our vacations lol), and a few days before she was due to go back to work she asked me if I really wanted her to retire, and I said YES- and she called work and told them she was retiring. My mother is diabetic and has very bad rheumatoid arthritis and I hated that she was working in pain from that. It's been several years now since she's retired, thankfully I've been able to keep up the financial needs here:)

Else, it will be really an awful year. I was supposed to be a positive, happy person. However, I went through a lot of tough things that others coundn't imagine. How can I keep strong-minded.
