Have you ever left a purchase at the store?

This evening after I finished my teaching internship and ate dinner, my partner and I got ready to go shopping. We left our apartment and went to Walmart where we proceeded to pick up several things that I had written down on my list. Instead of using the evil plastic bags, we decided to finally use the reusable shopping bag that I got free in the mail. So the cashier bagged my purchases and we went on our way. We stopped at another grocery store on the way home and did a quick walk around the store to see if there was anything that we may want to purchase before we finally went home for the night. At one point, one of the turns I made, tipped my bag over and we didn't think to look for anything that may have fallen out. A few hours later when we went looking for one of my purchases in the fridge it was not there. We assumed the cashier had not placed it into my bag so we got ready to head back to the store. Before we left, I decided to look in the trunk and lo and behold, there it was. The sandwich cheese I had purchased had indeed fallen out of the bag at one point. Have you ever left your purchases at a store? Or have you ever been like me and my partner and just drop an item or two and think you left them at the store only to find them in your car at a later time?
