I just read another discussion which got me thinking about my grandfather's death 3 years ago. My grandfather had been very sick most of my pregnancy. Though he was very excited about his first great grand child that would soon arrive. (I did not know he was so excited as my relationship with my family was rocky) I was due in January. It was December 21 and I got word that they were sending my grandfather home for the holidays from the hospital. Early the next morning I recieved word my grandfather had passed. It was a horrible christmas and sense then christmas has never been the same. However after the parlours, we had a freak storm. Where my grandfather was cremated, we held the actual service off until after the holidays. The night before the service, i was having trouble sleeping. partly because I was going into my ninth month, but mostly because of losing my grandfather. When I feel asleep, I had a black and white dream. In the dream I could see, my cousin who died when he was 12, at the age he had actually died(who mind you is from the other side of the family.) My, uncle who died at 19, son to my grandfather who was also the age he was at death. They were gathered around two, younger people, a man and a woman. In my dream I was walking towards them. Bewildered as to what they were doing. When I got closer I realized that the man and woman were actually my grandparents in their youth. My grandfather was holding something and they were all looking down smiling. When I got closer, my cousin and uncle stepped aside. My grandfather, looked up and smiled at me and looked down at a infant boy. I woke up immediately in tears, but for some reason it did feel like sad tears. At the service my aunt gave me a baby book, with a note attached. It had said my grandfather had bregged to the other men on his floor, that he was going to have a great grand child, and he couldn't wait to hold his first great grandhild in his arms. The note also, said my aunt felt that because of the recent events that, had come to pass she took some of the money my grandfather had on him when he died and bought the baby a present. It was a baby book, she purchased in the hospital gift shop. However this is not where, my story ends. I never went in to have my child until the evening of january 10th, he was not born until the 12th. However as soon as I held my son and seen him I burst into tears, it was the exact same child I seen in my dream. Was my grandfather sending me a message from beyond the grave, that he, my nan, my uncle and cousin were all together, and cared for my son, until he was sent to earth? Or was it just my imagination playing tricks on me?

In my opinion it all depends on what you believe. If you believe in heaven and hell and angels then that very well could be exactly what it means. No one but you can truely know what it means because it is something you saw and felt.

You are right, I guess sometimes as I think most others do, others opinions mean too much. We tend to change our own beliefs, if we think something is looked down on. At one time I was very sceptical about telling people I believed in ghosts etc. However now, I figure I am entitled to my oipinon as well right? Thank you, your response has made me think, that is always good with me.

You are most welcome sweety. Whenever people come to me with questions like this I tell them the same thing because it doesn't matter what anyone else believes or thinks on the subject it is what you believe and you should never stray from your beliefs to please another.

Hi my friend! I believe your family up there had spend two days with your son before they send him to you. They had got the chance to carry him in their arm, tender him, love. And I'm sure they are still loving him, protecting him from up there. They are watching over him. (",)

Yes, thank you for your kind words. I also believe this. When my son was really small esspecially when he was sick. He would sometimes look at certain places in my house and smile and laugh. It had always gave me the feeling that someone I could not see, was talking to him.
