I know some people who graduated with just three years of high school (and went off to college). I also know that in some countries there are only three years of high school (and there are more years spend in middle school).
So, what were your experiences like?

Wow, I spent way too many years in high school. Reason is this:
When I was in grade 8 at "junior High" Is what we called the school board decided, that Junior High, which was grades 7-9 at the time, be converted to Middle School. Grade 6 would be moved from Elementary to middle school and grade 9 moved to the high schools. No biggie right.
Well the year I entered grade 9 not only, did they move the grade they changed the whole grading structure. It was a experiment and we were the lab rats. Half way through the year, The figured out that alot of the students where having difficulties with the new system. So the created the L.O.S.T program(Which focused on Math and English only). The divided the whole grade nine population in to for groups Lost, On Track, Sufficent, and Tramendous. So, so many students where "lost" They had 10 L classes. 5 O classes, 2 S classes and 1 T class. May I add that the T class was maybe 10 students in the whole grade population.
I learn by ear, so of course this new system had messed me up. I was put in the L class. Now the new system had put so many of us so far behind, we really were not prepared for grade, ten. Many in L and O ended up in summer school under the same program classes L and O. We still weren't prepared for grade ten, however we all passed because of the school boards mess up. (Here in NB canada Grade 9 plays a important role in passing the Provincal Exams in Grade 11)
So I got through year one 1997-1998. I started grade ten which is the easiest grade, and some how I passed that year with out difficulty. Year two 1998-1999 completed. So I started grade 11, was having a few problems here and there but passing most of my needed credits, failing a few electives but a passing grade none the less to be put into 12, if grades in classes mattered, which in grade 11 it actually doesn't, its just work you must to complete to prep you for PE's which you have to pass in order to move on. So the whole year I am getting A's and B's a few C's. Come June I take the provincials which has alot of skills based on the grade nine. I totally bomb the exam, and even though I had high grades I fail grade 11. Year three 1999-2000 incomplete. So I returned to grade 11 the following year. Again I am passing all my classes with reasonable grades. Come june I take the PE's once more and again bomb them. Year four, 2000-2001 incomplete. So I return once more, by this time most of my friends are graduated but alot that were in L class are still there. So I start my classes and am passing nearly everything once again, then this teacher, whom I here still does this to select students in her classes including my little sister, who always gets A's in everything...tells me I miswell just quit and never bother coming back. Till november she continued to harrass me, until I did just quit. I went and got my high school eqivelancy and emailed her a copy with the words HA HA in YOU FACE! on it I never got a response back lol.

In Romania, high school lasts 4 years.
The educational plan I followed included 3 years of kinder garden, 4 years of primary school, 4 years of middle school, 4 years of high school and 5 years of college.
Now I'm waiting for my master studies interview, on Wednesday. The Master will last one year.
