Back in June, I came down with strep throat. I got a dose of antibiotics, and after a few days of taking the meds I noticed my hands were breaking out. I thought it was an allergic reaction to something so I started using certain creams and lotions. Didn't get better. It eventually got worse to were I looked like a leper. My hands hurt so bad! I went to a dermetologist and he said it was psoriasis. I was upset. I knew that treatments for this condition can be costly. He gave me a few creams and it cleared up, but the one cream I used that helped it most was a cream my boyfriend made it. It consisted of sulfur powder, bag balm, and pachule oil. It stinks but it works. All the ingredients was less than 20.00 as well. Has anyone else tried at home remedies for their skin condition? What were they?

i work at mayo clinic in the dermatology department so i know what psoriasis looks like....nasty stuff. sometimes the patients have to come 3 days a week for light treatments. i'm glad you were able to find a cost effective cure.
