Are your kids computer geeks? |
| |
| When I was a kid, we had Atari. When I was a kid, Cds were the latest thing. When I was a kid, we had a rotary Phone! horrors! When I was a kid, our microwave was humongous When I was a kid, we had three major networks and cable was a baby. but.......my kids could use a mouse when they were 2. My son is into creating reports and presentations on our computer and I am totally amazed! My daughter is big into Webkinz and consequently they fight over computer time (that's why I'm usually on here late at night) How about your kids? Are they little "techies"? Or are they just not interested? | | | | | |

| | My kids didnt have a computer, but our grandaughter who is six is a whizz kid on the computer, she can manage to get around the internet as well as I can,the only thing is that you have to watch her like a hawk with it,she is sat googling as quick as lightening if you let her,and no young kids ought to be using search engines without supervision. | | | | | | |

| | I agree with the supervision part. Even with the best filters some pretty yucky stuff can still make it through! My own kids have a few favorite sites and they pretty much stick to those. Thanks! | | | |

| | I can say even though my daughter is 16 months old she is following in my footsteps to be a computer geek. If I lay her on my bed for a nap, as soon as she wakes up she is sliding off the side of the bed and head straight for the computer. She will climb in the chair and start pecking away at the keyboard. lol | | | | | | |

| | Hello rocketj1 Well my eldest is 7 and gets on to the computer for about 20 mins then he is bored and my 5 year old takes over for a couple of hours!! My youngest is only 3 but I see him watching and learning. I can't wait for my kids to be a real whiz on the pc then they can help their poor old mum out once and a while! | | | | | | |

| | Oh, tell me about it. When we first got online here at home, my then 13 year old son was the one we consulted about things. Even though, as I said, we were never online before then, He seemed to know a lot about everything! Now he thinks it's comical that his "poor old mum" is chatting online:-D Thank you! | | | |
