I sure do. I like the concept of "multiple streams of income" thing since I know to not rely on only one thing. That's how a lot of people that are financially doing really well has been doing for years. For example, people like Robert Kiyosaki, Kim Kiyosaki, Robert Allen, Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield, etc have more than one source of income themselves. I would like to know what you think and what you are currently doing to make yourself money whether online and/or doing offline kind of stuff like real estate, collectin coins, comic book collector, etc. I am a freelance writer myself and because I wanted to get into translation, going to go back to school taking mandarin chinese. I am fluent on writing but not reading and speaking. Besides, I would like to get social outside of the house. For now, my laptop and my internet connection are the only thing making me money which I would like to make more than what I am getting now.Being a stay at home mom most of the time does have its drawbacks but being with my kids everyday brings me total joy.

I'm not sure whether Robert Kiyosaki and Kim Kiyosaki do have multiple streams of income. Robert Kiyosaki's accounts of his investments are always sketchy and often proven untrue when he does give details, and at the same time in his books, he frequently mentions his status symbols like his golf clubs, Rolex watch etc. With Robert Kyosaki, you're never sure whether something he's telling is fact or fiction. He seems to me to be more a case of a guy pretending to be rich, rather than actually being rich. Currntly my main stream of income comes from freelance writing. I'm taking a xiangqi coach class at the moment, so it's quite possible in the near future that I'll be teaching xiangqi.

In my opinion, they do have more than one source of income. for example, they both invest in real estate investing and doing some other stuff. My current stream comes from freelance writing as well. How long have you been doing freelance writing? I just got into it since July 26. I will be taking chinese so then I can combo it with freelance writing. I just got accepted today to be a freelance writer for one company which is great. I wonder how much they pay. You ever read or even seen a book that Robert Kiyosaki and Donald trump wrote together? Great book.

Same here, started writing as a living only in July this year. Erm, actually Robert Kiyosaki doesn't invest in real estate... That's what my first comment was about, you really have no idea if the guy is telling the truth until you actually find some way to verify it. It's so exasperating having to read his books and wondering which part is fiction and which part is not. Sure, he does put the disclaimer at the back of the book that not all that is written is true, and maybe it's just me, but I don't like to read a first person account in a self-help book and find that it's fictional. Nope, haven't read the book by him and Donald Trump. As you can probably tell by now, I am not a fan of Robert Kiyosaki, to put it midly. I read the first few books (Rich Dad, Poor Dad etc) and got fed-up trying to figure out which part was the "inspiration" part and which part was fact.

I've been self employed for ten years, and I have only recently started writing for money. I always had more than one stream of income, although manyt of them were trickles rather than streams! Even if one activity is bringing in a lot of money, the smaller income streams are important. If one thing stops paying, the others are still there to support you. I don't think it matters if all your income streams come from the internet, or if some of them are also offline activities, but it would be nice to have both. I hope you do well with your translation work, when you decide to do it, in addition to your writing.

Self employed for a decade? Wow. I envy you there. I just started getting into it since July 26 of this year. It took me more than a while to decide to do something about it. I guess better late than never huh? I'll be 29 next month and ever since I read books about getting myself financially secure and getting ready for stuff, I have been inspired about it like from Suze Orman. If it weren't for my love of books, I wouldn't have knew about it and would still be lost. I have been lost for a long time because ever since I can remember, I somewhat felt out of place and wondered what my purpose in life is besides just being a mom. I decided to get into freelance writing since it's very flexible to do when I want and plus, can do this while I am at home with the kids and work this around them. What have you been doing for a decade that you are self employed?

I have done several things in that decade, including taking one year off. Some years I was unable to do much work, for personal reasons. For the first five years I had my own desktop publishing business and edited a small press poetry magazine. Now, of course, anyone can publish poetry on the internet, and can print out their own work, but ten years ago fewer people had their own computer and my services helped many people to get into print.

That makes sense. a decade ago, my hon and I own a computer together which was a desktop one. I was still in high school at the time. I remember those years. It's amazing how nowadays, most people own their own pc and such. I can see why you want to get into writing since that occupation is flexible and can work around anything that you have going on like kids. As you know, I love our decade since we have the internet to help us make our own money. Gotta make our own destiny, right?

I do MyLot to make money online. I used to take surveys, but the surveys weren't plentiful or high paying enough.

Besides being on here to make money, what other places online are you currently doing that now? I have stress it to everyone about having multiple streams of income kind of concept where that way, you have something to cushion you in case one runs dry. I recommend writing at a bunch of other places online if you are into writing yourself. That's what I am doing.

I write. I photograph. I help care for an elderly woman. I help care for a teen with Downs. Most importantly I un-school my daughter and love my husband of eleven years. I've been considering combining my poetry and photography into framed pieces of art but like you, I get paid in lots of hugs and kisses!
