I would love to go to Venice - it is one of my top ten places to visit in the world. I just wondered if anybody here at mylot has been and if so where abouts did you stay? I would like to stay near to St. Marks which I know will be more expensive but if I only get to go once then I want to stay close!
Has anyone been and can recommend any hotels?

I went to Venice for my honeymoon and it was a very romantic destination. The streets with all the old buildings were so beautiful and the canals looked so charming. We liked wandering around St Mark's Square and going over all the quaint looking bridges. We went out on boats to explore the islands and found one with some pastel colored rows of houses. I can't suggest a good hotel since we were there many years ago. We are now divorced. I hope that you will visit Venice my friend and have an amazing time. x

Sounds exactly as I imagine it! I cannot wait to go and think it might be a small possibility next year but shall have to wait and see!! Fingers crossed! : )
