I had the opportunity to attend one of these cooking shows this week and it was awesome! Have any of you ever had the chance to go to one? What was your opinion?

That's great. I love to cook also. I feel good if everyone likes my food. I did not really attend any classes for cooking show but I love to cook food. I learn to cook by following recipes from a cook book that i like. And surprisingly, I do have compliments from time to time. That makes me feel good.

Oh I Love to cook too! Keep your eyes peeled for Taste Of Home Cooking Show. They go all over the place doing these shows. The tickets are only $11.00 to attend and they give away all kind of prizes and food. And a lot of good cooking tips. We had a blast!

I was going to ask you about cost, but I just saw that in your first comment. I subscribe to a couple Taste of Home magazines and would love to attend one of their classes or shows, but I haven't seen any near me for quite some time, if ever. I live within sight of Philadelphia, but they're always either in Baltimore or Pittsburgh or Boston, etc. This also reminds me because I haven't received my one magazine of the two, so I wonder where it is. I need to call them. I definitely would like to get to one if they ever get around my way.

Sounds like my kind of show!!! I've never enjoyed things like flower shows or boat shows (although some auto shows are OK when they have concept cars). I attended a cat show once because I just love the furry little things, but was disappointed because they thought their pedigreed pus.sy cats (myLot - we don't ALL use this word the bad way!) might catch something from us dirty humans. I'm a hands-on kind of pleasure seeker (the G-rated kind), so I won't be going to cat shows anymore either.

It's really fun. They play several different games and prepare several dishes. They also give away prizes like new little gadgets that are pretty neat. The biggest prize they gave away was a set of cookware. But if you ever get the chance to go to one don't miss it you'll have a blast! Happy mylotting!
