What is your opinion about Jesus status? Is he God? or not God?

I am trying to read everything what is written in the holy scriptures about Jesus. because i really want to know it myself without asking any church pastors, ministers and priest about the status of Jesus., and i'm very much interested about the bible. My not yet done with reading the whole scripture. But i am meditating with this following verse, which couldn't still declared to myself whether to say Jesus for me is God, or Jesus for me is just a Man. These are the following thing that i have learned while conducting reading, I'm so much interested about John 1:1 as no one could give me exactly it's interpretation. in John 1:1 it says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In these phrase, almost everybody agree that the word that become flesh was Jesus, and here comes another verse also which i have read in the bible. John 10:30 "I and the Father are one" so what's this means that God and Jesus is only one. the reason why many people believed that Jesus is God., but this following verse, i would tell that make me so confused: John 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know thee,the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou has sent." It is very clear in this verse that the Father in heaven was the only true God and why others claim that Jesus is also a God. I'm too bewildered, hoping that someone could give their opinion about this. As i am continuing reading the holy scriptures.
