do you nickname your internet connection? what it is?

sometimes i called my internet connection 'slowy' 
, because it mostly loaded slowly. i used to greet it before starting to be online.
"hey slowy, how are you today?"
"fine, thanks. just a little bit slow."
"ok. let us try...."
then, after 20 minutes i was trying and it was still "waiting for www.mylot.com".....
"d_mn slowy! it's not a little bit slow. it's very slow!"
"yeah...." it answered slowly and sleepily.
"what's happening?"
it just raised its shoulders, "i don't know. the server, i think..."
d_mn! the isp is offering a hot offer, where people (including me 
) can get unlimited access for reasonably cheap price. so, it get over traffic, crowded.
there are also times when it loaded pretty fast and i can easily accessed mylot, even with several ptc sites in the same time. those are times to call it fasty.
well, due to its inconsistent performance, i used to call it moody.

I didn't name my internet connection, but I did really give names to all my computers (I have one PC and one Laptop). The PC, is the older sister, and her name is scarlett, the younger sister, the laptop name is isobel. Well.. yeah they are two ladies on my life and I love them so much. No I am not a two timer by the way LOL, and I didn't think that you are weird because I talk to my computer too when I was really need her to do something really important to me, like... "please don't do this to me, I really need to give my assignment by tomorrow morning..." and suddenly everything was okay. Isn't that great?

you guys must be a great team. klaudine, scarlett, isobel....uhm, sounds like the next charlie's angels and who will be charlie? hang on....why do you look at me like that? what? oh, no..no, not me! i can't be charlie. i have no knowledge and experiences to run such a business. i won't harm my life and my family's by running the dangerous business. no klaudine, find someone else....what? well, if you insist on it, well.....LOL

i can be charlene, if you still insist LOL. i think i will look beautiful if i am well dressed. the technology in make-up today is very advanced already. even dustin hoffman looked pretty in tootsie, because he was made-up well. robbin william.....he also looked like a good mother in mrs. doubtfire, although...well, too big for the kids. why i always babble in your discussions?

No.. not Charlie. You know that I am not involved with any man, right? LOL.. it was Charlene.. and that was my modem and her twin Christine the wireless router. What a perfect family, isn't it LOL. You are so funny. but giving names to things are really fun, I used to name all of my stationary back then when I was in the high school... LOL

Hehehe! i just freak out when the internet cafe full of western and the internet connection going down very slow. You can imagine how sloppy my face was got complain from every directions. LOL my job. Hahaha!

i understand what you feel, dian sinta. it's like you are blamed for the mistakes you don't do; or you have to cover the real 'sinner' from being punished while the sinner is hiding behind the crowd of wire. you really get a challenging job. happy posting....1 person likes this

I just can't help to smile with your story,LOL. It irritates me also when the connection is slow, but most often its fine up here. Why can't the server be fast in there ? Maybe you can change provider or tell them with the services they have and maybe they can improve their connection later. I havent called any name with the internet connection though, maybe when it slow down, I would remember the nickname you just call your connection.

that's great you generally have a good internet connection. currently i am using wireless connection, so it's generally more unstable. i call and even come to their office but never get a satisfying solution. so, yeah, it will take it as my destiny , till i get another better isp. thank torchablazed for responding and considering the nickname LOL
