I work and volunteer at my sons' school. One of the things I do is a lice check totally private. In schools at some point lice can't be avoid. Having lice doesn't mean you are dirty, in fact lice like clean heads. But I know that once other children find out someone has it there are times they get treated as "nasty" or a leper. Even a child who finds out they do have it feels "unclean" or dirty. I had it once when I was in grade two and felt that way and didn't want anyone to know cause they would pick on me for sure.
So is lice a dirty word for you?

YEah that is what many people think but it isn't true. It is a bug that feeds on the blood. Dirty actually gets in there way and they like clean hair more. What country are you from that doesn't have lice?
