I think you all will enjoy this story for it's so funny and yes it's true! Before my parents moved, my mom worked for this company that sits with the elderly. It was such a rewarding job for her for she so loved the elderly very much, so do I for they're some really interesting people to talk to. When she moved closer to me, she found another job doing the same thing but since she's had the stroke, she can't do it anymore YET. She's hoping that she'll get back to doing it eventually. I don't think she ever will because she's just too dizzy all the time. Some days are worse than others but dizzy nonetheless.
Ok here's my story, before she moved, she kept this little tiny old lady and she brought her to our house one day. I walked in the door and there she was sitting at the kitchen table and she introduced herself as Lucy, Lucy ducey! LOL She was such a charactor! A few minutes later she told me this joke and gosh darn!! I nearly fell out of my chair!! I was so shocked and the joke was so funny but coming from this littly old lady? OH MY!!!! Ok, here it is....
There was this little old lady that lived on a farm. Her husband had passed away some years before. One morning as any other morning, a rooster crows, c*ck a doodle do! and the little old lady says "any ole c*ck will do!!" ROFLMBO!!Have you ever been told a joke such as this by an elderly person before? I haven't till then and is why I nearly fell off of my chair in shock and laughing so darned hard!!

That was so funny, its amazing what older people come out with, and the way they say it as well with such a straight face just adds to the funniness.
Have you any more to share ?

When folks get older, I think they lose some of their ability to be refined and dignified.
My mom has, that's for sure. She was always a cut-up. But now that she's lost so much of her membory, she has also lost her ability to know what she should and shouldn't say. And she can't hear, but she's too far gone to teach her about hearing aides. My sister loves and hates taking her out to eat, because my mother will loudly proclaim, "Look at that fat woman. You can see her.....(fill in the blank yourself and you'll probably be right.)"
