In 2004 Malta has joined EU. As everything in life it has its pros and cons. With the introduction of the Euro a European single currency, prices have gone up high in recent years. What do you think about EU? Is EU beneficial to European citizens?

Being honest I think it was the worst thing when the UK went decimalised..everything is now so expensive if or as and when we join the EU (which I hope won't happen in my lifetime!) it will be the WORST thing we could ever of done as the Euro is worth nothing to the pound and food grocerys clothes etc will be so expensive and the so my answer to your question is a big NO it DEFINITLY would not be beneficial for European Citizens...littleowl

Romania became a member in 2007, but we can't use Euro yet. I don't sense things are better now than before joining the EU, the only visible advantage is that Romanian citizens can travel through Europe without needing a visa.

someone says they are beneficial but i dont think so. EU is formed to control the US power in their economy it my view. Price hiking is now the main issue all over the world.
