angels are common figures in christian cultures usually...they are supposedly the inhabitants of heaven and they are entities that people confide into as guardians, to save them from evil...they are like those in the picture i posted up there...they are good entities basically...

The word comes from the greek Anghellon which means Messenger...it was an angel that went to tell Mary that she was pregnant with Jesus...

Angel is a holy spiritual being sent by God to do good work for us and to help us but other then that I don't know what you mean.

I am going to answer you on the basis of what is written in the Bible. Angels are personal spiritual beings, having aspects of intelligence, emotions, and will. the Bible mentions about the angels in the following verses: Matthew 8:29; 2 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Peter 1:12, Luke 2:13; James 2:19; Revelation 12:17, Luke 8:28-31: 2 Timothy 2:26; Jude 6. According to Hebrews 1:15, angels are spirit beings with no true physical body. The fact that they do not have bodies does not affect their being personalities.

The knowledge angels possess is limited by their being created beings. This means they do not know all things so they are not like God. They do seem to have greater knowledge than humans because they were created as a higher order of creatures in the universe than humans are.


The most common image of an angel is a human being with wings which is contradictory of what is written in the Bible which often presents angels as appearing as human beings with no wings. They are used by God as messengers. However, this does not indicate that angels in their essence resemble human beings. There are however 2 types of angels as written in the Bible which have have wings: They are the Cherubim (Exodus 25:20; Ezekiel 10) and Seraphim (Isaiah 6). Cherubim and Seraphim are two types of angels, possibly the two highest orders of angels.

hi yadav. me too don't know exact meaning of that word. i have heard this word in christian religion where angels will help people behalf and under the instructions of the god. also people say a gorgeous women as angel to make her feel pleasant and way of expressing their thoughts. cheers:) happy mylotting!

hi yadav, i find this word used often in Christianity. i think angel is something which helps out people when they are in need of it and also it is very good. it is also said that it listens to the sorrows and when people pray god the angels help them out on behalf of god's orders. happy mylotting!
