What are your kids being for Halloween?  |

 I know it is more then a month away but my kids have parties to go to throughout the month of October so we needed to get their costumes figured out. With money being as tight as it is I really didn't want to spend alot this year so I went into the attic and pulled out a box of costumes that my 2 older kids wore. My mom made some costumes when my older kids were little - my older kids are now 22 and 18 and my younger ones are 5 and 3. Anyway I found a princess Jasmine costume that my 5 yr old loved and I found a scarecrow costume for my little 3 yr old. Both kids are thrilled and the only thing I have to do is wash the costumes and buy a plastic bird for the scarecrow costume. I am so happy. The stress of costumes are done with very little money out of my pocket. So what are your kids dressing up as?

1.  samtaylorskykierajen (5847) | 1 year ago |  My five year old daughter loves Hannah Montana and I was thinking of trying to get the costume for that if I can afford it . My three year old, I was thinking of trying to find a pebbles for them flinstones cartoon . A friend and I were saying she would just look really cute dressed as pebbles . She doesn't have the red hair but it would suit her presonality:)
If I am unable to find these are am unable to buy them I have a bunch of costumes in the basement and can choose from any of these so I am not overly worried about having a costume for them:)
I am not sure if my son wants to go or not this year, he is 13 now so I figure it will depend more on weather or not the children in his class are going to go out at all .
My other children are much older so they won't be going out this year unless one of them wants to come with me to take the little ones out .

 pam210 (329) | 1 year ago | Pebbles sounds really cute. That would even be an easy costume to make but I think I've seen them at the Halloween stores. Last year Hannah Montana was the rage. I saw so many little kids dressed as Hannah Montana. My 5 yr old knows the name just from hearing other kids talk about her but she has never seen her show or knows anything about her. She is still into all of the Disney princesses. | |

My oldest son, batman, my daughter, a witch. now for my three year old I have no idea what he's going to be, but i'm glad theres little money coming out of our pockets this year too.

| pam210 (329) | 1 year ago | I agree - my kids get really excited about Halloween and they have more parties for Halloween then they do for Christmas. Right now we have 4 parties to go to not counting the party at school. Our zoo even has a party where the kids wear their costumes and go to the zoo and do activities and look at the animals. It seems like the Halloween celebration lasts the entire month of October. I don't mind it though, it keeps them busy. | |

| sedel1027 (12410) | 1 year ago | We don't have THAT many parties LOL The zoo here does a thing like that to, usually the weekend before Halloween. We will probably got to that, our apartment complex has a huge party - catered, games - like bobbing for apples, costume contest for adults and kids (they do a large shindig at Christmas that includes free pictures w/Santa) - which the managers are already really excited about, usually on Halloween the school has something and we go to my Nanny's house for the block party they always throw (of course they have a "haunted house" that includes guys with chain saws - which I hate). | |
