Well - with the fights & spats we were involved with on MyLot, that particular one fits the message we were trying to send. Yeah - she's German, & also has done a few songs in German - one of them that she sung mostly in German I had put onto one of the other profiles.

She does have a Bonnie Tyler / Kim Carnes type of a voice, but I think her voice would outdo both of them.

If you did hear that song I left on your profile, she's the only one to have done it so far. However, the song does have similarities to the Scorpions' Bad Boys Runnign Wild.

The song that you wrote that I was putting music to would have ended up with a somewhat similar formula to the one I left on your profile. Uh - I wonder if prying eyeballs off the monitor counts in this case, being that I didn't see something shocking, but heard it. The second verse of the song would have been especially similar with that guitar work.

It must have been a trial-by-fire situation ... Learning all of the songs they wanted to perform, & then getting out there. It seems that drugs & alcohol seems to be associated with almost any rock band. I wonder if he has any audio or videos from any of the shows.

I do wonder if Doro herself actually can actually play anything herself. You'd be surprised at what people who normally sing can actually do.

It really was a rough time for him. He doesn't talk about it much but it's never very positive when he does. He told me once that because they were doing drugs and drinking all the time and he wasn't into that, they didn't include him in anything. He didn't go out with them or hang out after shows. The entire 3 months he was either on stage or on a bus/plane or in a hotel room.

As far as audio/video, I don't know if he does or not but I'll ask him Saturday at practice. I seriously doubt it though. We're talking the 80's in Europe so not many videos taken at gigs. Video cameras were the size of Volkswagons so definitely not something you can whip out of your back pocket. He might have some personal photos. If he does I'll see if I can borrow one and I'll post it.

You'd be surprised at what people who normally sing can actually do.

Well actually I wouldn't be surprised since I am a professional singer along with my husband and several members of my family and most of my friends. I've spent most of my life around professional musicians.

I'm sure she does play a couple of instruments. She wrote a lot of songs and even if you don't play very well you have to pound out a few chords on something to see how it sounds. I have an acoustic guitar, a couple of keyboards and thank goodness for recording software for my computer. The only one I'm good at is the computer!

Speaking of keyboards, Ronnie James Dio is a keyboardist. When he first started his own solo career, he played the keyboards on his first albuim, & then had to hire a keyboardist for his tour, because he did not like the idea of being confined behind keyboards on stage.

Uh - did you go through my friends list to see who I commented? There was one that was sung mostly in German that I used. If you're thinking of that same song I'm thinking of, I agree that it does sound more metal.

I thought I was done with it, but when I heard that live version that I left on your other profile, it was back to the drawing board.
