Have any of you ever had a stomach ulcer? I have bad heartburn very very often and for the past week i have a kind of burning sensation in my stomach, i used to get it when i was hungry but now i get it no matter how much i have eaten. I have thrown up twice today and twice yesterday after eating. Do these sound like symptoms of a stomach ulcer? should i just go to the doctor anyway to be on the safe side?

well first of ulcers will give you a terrible burning pain which will be unbearable..secondly there are 2types of ulcers one of which will be relieved after eating something and the other aggravated by food intake.also, ulcers will cause you to vomit because they will irritate the nerve endings and give you the "gag reflex" if what you're going through is an upset stomach your biggest problem will be stomach cramps and diarrhea..the same applies to indigestion wherein you will have the cramping pains and loads a diarrhea if yours is a stomach upset there are chances that you're gonna be severely dehydrated so keep the fluid intake going ok?just keep drinking lots of fluids and take in ORS packets which will be available at the medical store if after reading this you think you have an ulcer then go to your doctor ASAP and don't let the condition aggravate..the specialist you are looking for is a GASTROENTEROLOGIST all the very best..hope this was helpful!
