I just went through a bunch of blogs for Link Referral. If there were ads on the blog, I clicked them. However, a lot of blogs didn't have ads on the site. If you have a blog -- put ads on there. Chances are you created the blog, not only to express yourself, but also to make some money. Well, you ain't gonna do that if you don't have ads. Get Google Adsense, go to Shareasale and do affliates, do something. Look around, there are choices out there. Then get them on your blog. Even if payout takes awhile, it's a passive way to earn money. You just put the ads on and wait (and wait and wait and wait) for payout. It's more money than you would have if you don't put the ads on. So go for it.
