How to make a freshly baby sleep?

I believe many people esp mother once met such situation: the baby would not go to sleep although it's sleeping time then. No matter how tired the adults are, the baby just looks fresh and energetic.
Have you had any experience to deal with the stubborn baby at that situation? Don't hesitate to share with us.

yeah, this happens all the time. But then our only cure is this:let the baby do his stuff, sacrifice a few more moments until he gets tired, or deliberately make him cry to make him tired, and feed him a bottle. Wee! A sleeping baby coming up. Heehee. Talk about a very good way to piss a baby off.
