I saw this news on the net and couldn't believe it to begin with, but when I searched all the related links it looks like very much true to me. I am a bit disappointed to know this. Here are some of the extracts from the lead articles... “The United States was the largest emitter of CO2 in 1992, followed in order by China, Russia, Japan and India,” “The most recent estimates suggest that India passed Japan in 2002, China became the largest emitter in 2006, and India is poised to pass Russia to become the third largest emitter, probably this year, Burning fossil fuels and manufacturing cement, along with deforestation, are the most important human-related sources of carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere, according to the researchers. What do you have to say about this?

It hurts my soul. Each one of these countries knows what CO2 is doing to our atmosphere. They know what countries like the U.S. have done to cut down on CO2 emissions. Major companies have had to make expensive renovations to their buildings to lower the CO2 emissions. I guess money is more important to them than life itself. What good will their money be if no one is around to spend it? What good will their companies be if there is no one alive to use their products? It makes me want to give up. I've made a lot of changes in my own life to do what I can in my small way to help save our planet. It makes me want to do no more. But I will continue to do what I can because I now do not utilize nearly as much of the fossil fuels that I used to. I am putting less money into the pockets of these companies. I will continue to do what I have been doing, but now my motive is not to save the planet, but to do whatever I can to put less money into the hands of these wasteful, uncaring, greedy companies.
