Do you think Conan O'Brien is the best choice for the Tonight Show?

Leno leaves in 09 and then Conan O'Brien will take over. I have to say, I do love Conan O'brien, he is my favorite talk show host (besides John Stewart) but honestly I don't think he could really do it. I mean, his fan base is much younger adults (like 16-35) while Jay Leno is a bit more "sophisticated" (for lack of better word) I don't think he has the kind of personality that many Tonight Show audiences are looking for.

You know that's a tough call. I am not sure he is right for it- but then I never liked the route it took after Johnny Carson left. It was too "dumbed down" I used to always watch the Tonight show - and i couldn't stand Letterman (this was a a kid and young adult) as I got older and they switched from Carson to Leno (and I have nothing against Leno) I think the show just became to idiotic for me to watch,I started to prefer Letterman. Conan is like Leno too- in that, some of the things they did on that show bugged me- but he did make me laugh- mainly because he laughed at himself.
But what I am really Looking forward to is Jimmy Fallon taking over Conan's Show - I think Jimmy Fallon is great and I can't wait to see what he does with the show.
