Homer Simpson: the epitome of an American dad | | Back in my childhood days, I always wondered why the yellow-skinned Homer Simpson and his family in "The Simpsons" series have been around for quite a long time. Then when I saw the "The Simpsons" movie, it just struck me why this cartoon series (and Homer especially)is well-loved not only in the U.S. but also in the Asian countries. It's just simple: Homer and his family just comically (but effectively) portays the typical American father and his family. His love for booze, the easy life and family is what most viewers could relate to. I hope to see more of him and The Simpsons show. Keep rockin' Homer my good man.
