"Dawn of the Dead" -- Do you prefer the remake or the original?

Dawn of the Dead from 1978 or 2004... which do you prefer?
I personally prefer the original from '78. The remake is entertaining and all on its own, but as a remake, it completely fails in comparision, it lost the epic horror feel of the first and plus there's way too many characters and the zombies too fast. The slow zombies were perfect for the original Dawn, by remaking it with the running ones, it wasn't the same, it kinda took away.
What's everyone else think?

original hands down. George Romero is a genius who cleverly put social commentary in the most anti-social format imaginable. That's totally lost in the new version.
